What I Know About the Northeast

  Hi Everyone!
I know that the Northeast is famous for The Statue of Liberty. I know that the Statue is a Symbol of freedom and that it was a gift from the French. I know it is a reminder of freedom to our country. I know that New York is famous for 9/11, the terrist attack that killed many, many people. I also know about the Liberty Bell. I've heard of the Boston Tea Party but I don't know much about it.

How I Died

I'm the ghost of the girl who died. So I'm looking for food and I can't find any. I get very weak, too weak to continue. The plants around don't look to be nourishing I fall asleep and I DIDN'T wake up. Thinking about it just makes me sad so, I'm going to change the topic. Slavery is a terrible thing. I don't think this is fair at all. I hope the world changes but I'm not sure it will anytime soon. I never did find my friends, I feel like I'll never get to do any of the great things I could do. My time ran out, I'm done. Goodbye, goodbye.

Kathleen's Seventh Blog

Hey Everyone!
I don't really know too much about the southeast but I do know that there is a lot of rich soil which is good for farming. I know that Florida has a lot of tourism because of Disney world and all of the other amusement parks.

I think I want to learn more on New Orleans. Also, I'd like to learn more about
why the soil is so rich there. I am also interested in why there is so much coal there. I want to learn more about the types of people that live there.I want to know about the types of climate the Southeast has. I'm wanting to know what kinds of animals live in the Southeast.

Where I Went In the Southwest

Hey everyone!
I went to Phoenix,The Santa Fe trail,The Grand canyon,The Hoover Dam and Bricktown. I think they all were really fun.
At the Grand Canyon, I learned so many things.  Like that it was carved by the Colorado river or that it is 277 miles long and is up to 5,000 feet deep! I certainly would not want to fall down there!
When I went to the Hoover Dam I learned that it was constructed between 1931 and 1936.The Hoover Dam is in Mohave County Arizona. I think that the Hoover dam is a huge tourist attraction.
Next I went to Phoenix,Arizona. Phoenix is the capital of Arizona and the sixth most populated city in the U.S. The population is over 1,000,000! Phoenix was founded in 1861. In Phoenix there are 5c's,copper,cattle,climate,cotton and citrus.
When I went to the Santa Fe Trail I learned that was a 19th century transportation route. It connected Missouri to Santa Fe, New Mexico during the Mexican-American war.
Lastly, I went to Bricktown. Bricktown is east of downtown Oklahoma city the first brick structures were typically only one or two stories high and built from 1898 to 1903. Larger ones were built from 1903 to 1911.

I want to learn about some of the famous things in the southwest. I want to learn about more of the history of the southwest. I'm interested in learning more about The Alamo. Also, I want to learn more about the cowboys.I want to learn about the famous people that have lived in the southwest.

I am wondering about the cowboys and native american tribes. The climate in the southwest is another thing I want to know about.I want to know about the types of animals in the southwest and also what the southwest looks like.
Though I've never been to the southwest there are lots of places that I want to see. I REALLY want to see the Grand Canyon and the Sonora Desert. I want to see at least one desert in this reigen. I hope everyone has a good trip.

Where I Went In the West

In the west I went to the Golden Gate bridge, Mount Saint Helen's, the Pacific Ocean, Las Angeles and Las Vegas. To start off my trip to the west I went to the Golden Gate bridge. The bridge connects the San Francisco bay into the pacific ocean. I learned that the Golden Gate bridge was the longest bridge in the world when it was completed in 1937. I think the golden gate bridge is good for the tourism because people come to San Francisco just to see it.
I also went to Mount Saint Helen's which is located in Skamia, Washington which  is northeast of Portland,Oregon. I learned about the big catastrophic eruption that happened there on May 18, 1980. I think that helped the tourism in Skamia.
Went I visited the Pacific ocean and I learned that 165.2 million square feet in area. Also, that the Pacific ocean covers 46% of the earths water surface. I think that having the Pacific ocean near by is a HUGE resource because of all the seafood you can get fresh.
When I went to L.A. I saw Justin Bieber! I went on a tour that taught me all about the city, stuff like the words Las Angeles are Spanish for the angels. Also that the population is about 3.8 million. I learned that there is a lot of tourism and I think that is because of all the famous sites.
To end my trip to the west I went to Las Vegas. Las Vegas is the most popular city in Nevada. Did you know that Las Vegas became a city in 1911. I think that all of the gambling is good for the economy because people go there, spend money gambling and then go home.

Kathleen's Third Blog

 Hey Everyone!
Here are some of the things I want to learn about while I'm in the west.
I want to learn about the cowboys and the native americans who settled here. Also, I want to learn about the Oregon Trail.
I've been wondering about the population back in the 1800s. What were the shelters like? If you one of the people that came to California during the gold rush exactly how much gold did you find and did you trade it.
When I went to Yellowstone National Park I saw so many cool things. Beginning with seeing a mother black bear and her two cubs. I also saw the geyser Old Faithful. They call the geyser Old Faithful because it erupts every 35-120 minutes.
I want to go to Yellowstone because it is really pretty there. Also I think I will go to Rocky Mountain National Park.
